ESN Riga Academy
The ESN Riga Academy is a dynamic project designed to equip ESN Riga volunteers with essential skills and knowledge, fostering both personal and professional growth. Launched on September 17th, 2024, by Tamari (Tako) Abakelia, the Academy has rapidly become a cornerstone of volunteer development within ESN Riga and across Latvia.
It's a comprehensive program offering a diverse range of workshops, training sessions, and skill-building activities. The Academy's primary goal is to empower volunteers to excel in their ESN roles and beyond, while also strengthening connections within the ESN Latvia network and the local community.
Since the day of launching, The Academy has successfully delivered a variety of impactful sessions that increase volunteer engagement and confidence, enhance event planning skills, and gather individuals from over 15 nationalities to strengthen the bonds within the ESN community to grow as professionals.
The ESN Riga Academy directly supports ESN's core values and goals by: Providing volunteers with the skills to enhance the international student experience. Teaching volunteers to be respectful and understanding of diverse cultures. Facilitating peer learning and collaboration. Connecting volunteers from different parts of Latvia and nationalities and creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
In essence, the ESN Riga Academy is a vital project that empowers volunteers, builds community, and strengthens the ESN network, ensuring a positive and impactful experience for international students and volunteers alike.
